Understanding Your Monthly Report
Last updated 7/28/2026
Your monthly performance report
On the 1st of each month we email you a report covering the month that just ended. It pulls straight from Google Analytics and Google Search Console — how many people visited, where they came from, your top pages, and the search terms bringing people to you.
What's in it
- Traffic — visits and visitors, and how they compare to last month.
- Top pages — where people spend their time.
- Search terms — what people typed into Google to find you.
- A short summary — the highlights in plain English.
If your analytics are new, give it a few months
Analytics only start counting from the day we connect them, so your first couple of reports are a starting point rather than a trend:
- Month 1 is a baseline — there’s nothing to compare it to yet.
- Around month 3 the month-to-month comparisons start to mean something.
- Month 12 is when it gets genuinely useful, because you can compare against the same month last year — far more meaningful for a seasonal business.
While your history is still building, your report shows a short “Building your baseline” note instead of the usual summary. The numbers are always real — early on there’s just less to compare them against. Questions about anything in your report? Reply to the email; it comes straight to us.
